I am a San Francisco Bay Area independent artist. Push Me Away is my debut album of all original alternative rock music. This album was completely a DIY project requiring me to wear the hat of not only singer-songwriter, but also sound engineer, mixer, producer, record label, marketing manager, etc. I have put my heart and soul into this album. Push Me Away takes the listener on a journey full of unexpected grand views and insight into my creativity. The scope of the album is purposely wide so that the listener can better understand what makes me tick musically. Two of my favorite songs from the album are I'm Your Clay and Long Blonde Hair. Both of which feature interesting bridge sections that change the color of the song and serve as the icing on these musical treats. These songs are love songs. However, they are quite different. The former is a song about a guy that is head-over-heels for a lady. At first, the lady does not reciprocate the same feelings, but she is intrigued by his unusual personality. She has never known a man like this before. She gives him a chance and they fall in love. The latter is simply a song I wrote for my wife. I have been told that this song has a Ramones vibe to it. I happily accept that comparison. My main instrument is guitar, but I admit that I learned music theory from playing violin for eight years as a kid. I grew up in a very musical family. Dad played polka music and mom sang in a local German singing group.

This is the title song for my album by the same name. Have you ever known someone that supposedly cares for you, loves you even, but is never happy for whatever reason? They are so caught up in their shitty life that they take out their frustrations on the ones they love. They push people away and then wonder why they are lonely. This song is about that kind of person.

This song is about a guy that is head-over-heels for a lady. At first, the lady does not reciprocate the same feelings, but she is intrigued by his unusual personality. She has never known a man like this before. She gives him a chance and they fall in love.

Track#3. Can't Live Without Her

Of all the songs, I get asked about Can't Live Without Her the most. People usually assume the protagonist of the song is me, but it's not. And then they ask me - Hey Frank, what the heck were you doing living in a cold cage? And also - Frank you need to chill. The song makes it seem like you have an anger issue. Well, the song is not about me at all. It's a story inspired by my dog. Yep, I said my dog.

After picking up the family dog from the boarding kennel after a vacation, she seemed both re-leaved to see us again, and a bit angry at us. We were only on vacation about 6 days, but to our dog it may as well been 100 years. It took a few days for her to warm back up to us and be her usual loving self. Can a dog hold a grudge? It sure seemed like it to us. So there you go - my dog inspired me to write this song and I wrote it from her point-of-view.
